Your life records deserve careful handling

Version coverage

The new AI and advertising consent controls below apply to consent-enabled version 5.0.2 (25) and later, currently being prepared for release. Public version 5.0.1 and TestFlight 5.0.2 (24) do not have the complete controls. Do not assume records entered in those older versions stay only on your device. When the new version is available, update through the App Store or TestFlight without uninstalling.

1. Information we process

• Text, voice transcripts, states, schedules, Today Focus, experiment and goal feedback, life direction and My Choices. Sharing this content for AI analysis depends on the consent described below.
• Your display name, avatar, language and notification preferences are primarily maintained on your device. The service also processes device-account identifiers, consent status and information needed to verify subscriptions.
• Dates, classifications, usage counts, and source relationships needed to create weekly reviews, Journey views, and deep analysis.
• Recovery-related indicators read and abstracted from a health platform when you enable Linked Health. Signal Path does not write data to the health platform.
• Product, transaction, and active subscription status supplied by Apple. Signal Path does not receive full payment-card details.
• The display name and message you intentionally post to the public message board. Do not include health or other private information.

2. How information is used

• To save the Signals you enter and show them in Today, the diary timeline, Weekly Review and Journey. Feedback about AI accuracy is separate from saving or deleting your record.
• After AI is enabled, to organize records and generate responses, predictions, behavior patterns, experiment suggestions and deep analysis. Related organization and summaries may run automatically.
• To rank suggestions using vitality, load, recovery, and real feedback.
• To verify Pro entitlement, calculate feature usage and restore purchases.
• To send Signal reminders or other notifications that you explicitly enable.
• To keep the service stable and secure, and investigate initialization failures or abnormal requests.
• SignalPath servers also record launch and feature-use events and counts linked to a device-account identifier for product usage statistics, without Signal text or health information. This is separate from Google Analytics and is not switched off by AI or advertising consent controls. The App currently has no separate off switch. The current App and backend code do not forward these events to Google Analytics or advertising platforms.

3. AI consent and Linked Health

AI responses and analysis are grounded in information you provide. They help organize, acknowledge, and surface possibilities; they are not medical diagnosis and do not make life decisions for you.

Before the new version first shares content, it identifies SignalPath servers and OpenAI as recipients and asks for your choice. Choosing Not now still lets you record on this device without uploading that content for analysis. Once enabled, a feature may use Signal text, relevant history, your current life direction, goals, My Choices and schedule summaries.

Voice input shares saved transcripts, not recordings. Linked Health reads necessary information on your device and derives energy and capacity summaries. Relevant summaries may be used for analysis only when AI is also enabled; raw health data is not uploaded and the app does not write to the health platform. Health information and derived summaries are not used for advertising.

Turn AI off in Me → AI analysis & suggestions to immediately stop future content sharing on this device. An offline revocation is retried after connectivity returns when you next launch or return to the App. Re-enabling does not automatically upload Signals or historical feedback saved while AI was off. Your current life direction, goals and My Choices may still be referenced after you agree again.

4. Storage, transfer, and retention

Signal Path does not currently provide a complete cross-device cloud backup. When AI is off, the new version keeps the corresponding records on your device. Necessary authentication, subscription and security requests are handled separately from AI content sharing. Restoring purchases does not restore journal entries.

After AI is enabled, the server retains uploaded records and data needed for analysis. OpenAI processes received content under its applicable data policies. Turning AI off cannot recall requests already sent or delete historical data. We do not promise zero third-party retention or immediate deletion when AI is turned off.

Clearing local data, deleting server data and withdrawing consent have different scopes; check the explanation before each action. Necessary security, billing or legally required records may be retained separately. Public messages remain visible until removed by the maintainer. Do not post private information to the message board.

5. Advertising and usage analytics

We do not provide Signal text, life direction, AI conversations, health information or derived health summaries to advertisers or use them for ad targeting. Non-Pro users may see launch ads supplied by Google Mobile Ads. Google may process advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, ad interactions and diagnostics to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud.

The consent-enabled version starts with Google Analytics collection paused. Ads may load only after system tracking permission and applicable regional advertising permissions are met. If permission is denied, restricted or cannot be confirmed, no ads are shown. Google's regional choices and iOS permission are independent; neither can override a refusal in the other.

Google Analytics may process app usage, purchase events and diagnostic information. Analytics storage, ad storage, advertising user data and personalization purposes are controlled separately under applicable permissions. Even if ads or tracking are declined, valid analytics-storage permission may independently enable Google analytics. The Analytics–Google Ads link remains enabled, but the link is not your consent. AI consent does not cover advertising or usage analytics.

Use Me → Data and privacy → Advertising privacy choices to review permissions, open applicable regional choices or open system settings. Withdrawing a permission stops that purpose's future processing and invalidates cached ads; other valid permissions still apply separately. Withdrawal does not delete information already processed by third parties. Some regional laws treat advertising-data sharing as a sale or sharing of personal information; use this privacy entry to manage those choices.

6. Your choices

• Declining AI or advertising consent does not prevent local recording in the new version. These permissions are independent and are not a condition of recording or subscribing.
• You can clear data in the App. If you use a Signal Path account, deleting the account also requests deletion of associated service data.
• Clearing App data does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage subscriptions through your App Store account.
• You can disable tracking, microphone, speech recognition, notifications or Health access in system settings. Withdrawing Health access does not automatically delete summaries already processed.
• To request removal of a public message or make a privacy request, use the message board below without submitting additional sensitive information.

7. Security, children, and policy updates

We use access controls, encryption in transit, minimized logs, and request identifiers to protect information, but no network service can guarantee absolute security.

Signal Path is not directed to children who require parental consent under applicable law to use a digital service independently. We may update this policy as features, law, or processing changes, and will show the new revision date on this page.
